Role overview
We are looking for a talented person who is passionate about gaming to provide daily team production support across the team. We believe that the key factor for successful production support for the Project Manager (PM) is the ability to be proactive and offload key areas with administration support as and production support and guidance. You will support teams and team leaders to stay within the financial framework and processes that are in place. You will be the person that enables our best in class teams to focus on what they are good at and support them with administrative work and production support. You will be a key person in the daily operation of the teams you work with.
Key Responsibilities
This PM role is responsible for 3rd party communication and administration, limited resource planning and adherence to company processes. These are financial processes, 3rd party processes and recruitment. Also, the Project manager is responsible for presenting options and drives decision making in their area, i.e., given time and resources point out what is possible and make sure decisions are made in a timely fashion by the right stake holders so that progress is maintained. In supporting the tracking progress you are not just satisfied with task completion but also establishes and maintain a holistic overarching understanding of progress and status of the areas you manage.
What skills does DICE look for?
We believe that the successful candidate has proven leadership skills and desire to lead. At least 2 years of customer interaction and customer responsibility; 1-2 years of experience working in a AAA game development environment; strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills; effective communication skills across all levels of an organization. We think that you have a background in administration, customer care/support or equivalent. You have an understanding of the disciplines and skills required to make a game.
We believe that you are comfortable and have experience working with (or equivalent):
Agile development, using Scrum/Kanban/Lean
Project development with emphasis on team empowerment
Perform and act on Retrospectives
Financial and contract administration
Tools, e.g. Jira, HanSoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Perforce, etc.
