In the component business you will lead the development of new component solutions as well as finding and recommending existing solutions into new IKEA products. While in the retail equipment business you will lead the development of the total retail equipment product.
You are the natural link between Range & Engineering resources within IKEA Components and the stakeholders in IKEA Of Sweden or Core Business Franchise.
The role as a Development Project Leader is a mix of leading technical development and leading business startups. You lead with a holistic view throughout the IKEA supply chain, all with the purpose of maximizing the benefit for IKEA and our customers.
You will lead the development of new component solutions or retail equipment products – end to end. You will also actively steer to our selected range and solutions and collect and define demands, needs and expectations in the development process. Furthermore, you will plan the project to meet goals and gates and support in the strategic planning and creation of Business plans and Action plans.
Maybe you have experience as a project leader and you can lead/contribute to development projects, both big and small. You are interested in production processes and cost drivers to lead towards an optimal supply setup. You have a holistic view and a high engagement in the success of your projects and always put the IKEA customer in focus.

IKEA of Sweden and Core Business Franchise are both truly global environments, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English both verbal and written at the latest April 11th, 2022.
The position is in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
