Description
We develop a cloud communication platform that’s already used by 8 out of 10 leading tech giants in the US, with over 145 billion transactions every year. A platform which can reach virtually every mobile phone on the planet in seconds or less? Are you keen on working with modern cloud native technologies like Docker and Kubernetes? We are looking to add a DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The Essence of the role
In the role as a DevOps Engineer at Sinch in the RTC (Real Time Communication) team you will work cross functional between three of our development teams. You will work with our communications platform which is a distributed system, both in the geographical sense, where we provide globally distributed points of presence and access to our platform, and in its internal service-oriented architecture. The real-time aspects of the products combined with global availability of our services means interesting challenges as a DevOps Engineer in the team, and great opportunity to learn and develop.
You will work in an agile environment with a strong focus on automation, reliability and continuous improvement. This role involves a lot of responsibility in designing, taking our technical platform to the next level, and being a part of the product chain.
As our new DevOps Engineer you will:
Define and implement modern containerization and cloud solutions
Developing and improving our CI/CD pipelines
Work close to the developers and operations in designing systems that are secure and highly scalable with fast deliveries to production
Working with all teams to ensure that our services are always up and running smoothly
Make the lives of our developers easier!
Who are you?
For this role we preferably see that you have a few years of DevOps experience or from a similar software engineering role. You have in a previous job been taking ownership of a project or operated parts of it. As a person you have strong knowledge about your work to be able to contribute to technical discussions, you see the importance in close communication and setting clear directives to both the development teams as to your own team members.
To thrive in this role, you should enjoy working hands on as much as driving change management.
In order to contribute in this role we believe you are good at:
Optimizing existing systems for scalability and building large-scale infrastructure
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms
Building and improving CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform
Linux and networks
Big plus!
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in
AWS
Gitlab
Are you ready? Join us on our journey!
