As a DevOps engineer here at Toca Boca you’ll help make sure development of our apps, old and new, is running smoothly in the Android ecosystem with more than 40 available apps. In Toca Life World alone, we currently see an average of 30 million active users a month. That is a growth of 600% in 12 months and we’re just getting started.
You’ll be part of Toca Boca’s Central Tech organization. Central Tech’s goal is to enable Toca Boca’s game developers to make apps that build, run and deploy efficiently on modern mobile platforms (iOS/Android). Our aim is to provide great tooling and services to support best practices with a minimal amount of effort.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll develop Android specific tools to deliver games on the platforms we are on. You’ll provide the tools and structure for fast and smooth delivery for other Toca Boca teams. You’ll be the link between the games teams and the DevOps team, setting up and developing the existing CI/CD framework architecture (We are currently in Jenkins and will potentially use Concourse in the future).
You’ll work on automating processes around testing, code validation, app management etc. All to ensure smooth delivery and deployment. You’ll help set up the best tools and technologies the teams require to meet their needs.
You’ll work together with the rest of the DevOps team to find solutions for, and make decisions around, architecture. You will be focusing on the Android part.
Is this you?
You’re an experienced DevOps Engineer, with knowledge of Android and more specifically Kotlin. You know all about Cloud services, GCP or AWS. Which exact one doesn’t matter.
You have good knowledge of scripting languages and are not afraid of diving into Kotlin or Java code. Maybe you have released an app as a side project or worked in an app team.
You have experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, CircleCI or other mobile focused tooling.
