Core responsibilities
In the Infrastructure team we take ownership and make sure Volvo Autonomous Solutions is equipped with software development tools, continuous integration and deployment capabilities, simulation technology and tools to utilize data efficiently. As a developer in the Software Development Toolchain, you are responsible for:
Driving DevOps task within GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, release deployment
Setting up common tools where modularity is in focus and making sure docker images and such contain what our users need
Keeping high automatization with provisioning, maintaining and monitoring machines within the CI/CD flow
Create reliable tools and securing that through test setup and enable visualization of test results
Setting common coding guidelines and putting emphasis on well written code
Competences
First and foremost, you enjoy working with new technologies, encourage and drive change and continuous improvement in the way of working, tools and the processes that are setup. Other qualifications:
Good programming skills in Python, bash
Good experience with Docker, Ansible, GitLab
Good experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket
Meritorious with experience with Vault, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, pytest (or similar)
Good knowledge of agile methodologies, including experience in working in an agile team, used to working in Jira
Good experience with Linux (mainly) and Windows
Master’s in engineering/computer science or equivalent
At this role we expect you to be proficient in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills. You have an open mindset and networking comes naturally for you.
