DevOps Engineer / Delivery Expert

Klarna?s Merchant Integration team is providing ways for merchants to integrate their e-store to Klarna?s business systems. We are using the latest cloud and Continuous Delivery techniques to deliver high quality products fast and reliable. Our services handles millions of users per day, where speed, quality and reliability is our main drivers.

We are now looking for the right person to help us excel even further in our delivery process and everyday operation. You will be a part of a team with full end-to-end responsibility, from idea to working software in production. Your main responsibility will be to make sure we have a state of the art delivery pipeline with full automation from check in of code to deployment and smooth operation in production. You will work closely with the team but also together with other teams in Engineering.

Klarna has multiple ongoing projects which require a skilled and versatile team of engineers who can assist on a variety of challenges in designing, planning, configuring and developing across multiple platforms and environments. The goal is to keep the flow of releases steady and with high quality, which means joining disconnected systems together and automating as much as possible.

Required skills:
- 3-5 years experience of development and/or operations
- MSc or BSc in computer science or similiar
- Programming experience in at least two of python/pylons, javascript, php, or other script languages
- Experience in software testing
- Excellent Linux skills
- Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, proxies, firewalls, routing)
- Good database skills (SQL, Postgres, Riak)
- Good knowledge of web services, protocols, proxies and servers (REST, HTTP, HTTPS)

Preferable:
- Operations experience
- Worked with complex proprietary IT systems
- Continuous delivery experience (Jenkins/Hudson in particular)
- Has previously set up and been responsible of running environments for development/testing/production
- Experience with Git, Jira, Selenium, Chef
- Experience with administering a virtualised environment is a big bonus
- Experience with Amazon AWS services is a big bonus
