Our Outstanding Opportunity
In the Business Area Networks (BNEW) organization where 5G was born, we have development sites all over the world. Together with the supply and service organizations, we build future-proof, scalable network architectures in an industry that is constantly on the move. Our approach is simple: we build solutions that empower our customers to meet tomorrow’s demands. 5G is happening now, with the first commercial launches implemented today. Our software development unit develops the software which controls, supervises, and analyzes the base station functionality, which enables our mobile networks around the world. These mobile networks are the core to the accelerating digital transformation which is building our networked society where everything that can be connected will be connected.
We stand at the forefront of Agile software development, using methods like Lean and Scrum. Our teams are cross-functional, self-organizing, international, and highly independent. We are constantly improving our ways of working. You will work together with a team in the Common Architecture Tier (CAT) organization based in Lindholmen Göteborg. Our office is located right in the middle of “Gothenburg’s Silicon Valley”, a vibrant area with a mix of people from university and technology companies. The office is placed directly adjacent to the river with a wide variety of restaurants in the surroundings.
What are we looking for?
We think that you have a few years of experience working with development environment. You will be part of a team with expertise in the areas of CI/CD, build systems, flow visualization and test tools. In this role you will together with the rest of the team work to further develop and improve the existing CI/CD machinery and support our feature development teams across our organization.
You work equally well individually as in a group, you are a teammate that enjoys sharing your knowledge and skills with your colleagues. You have high energy levels, like to drive things and aim for results, you are willing to learn and use new technologies.
To be successful in the role you have
Bachelor or Master of Science (e.g. Science within Electrical Engineering, Data Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Software Engineering of Distributed Systems, Engineering Physics) or equivalent formal education
Good English and collaboration skills
Good communication skills
Excellent skills in:
CI/CD orchestration software (e.g Jenkins)
Linux, scripting languages e.g. Bash, Python
Build systems
Good knowledge in:
SQL, NonSQL
Docker, Kubernetes
Javascript, React
Groovy
