Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

YOU WILL
We are part of Service Information that provides end-users with information, and the end-users for our systems are the workshops and the mechanics working there. Our team´s mission and responsibility is to enable and build solutions so that end-users can receive and use the information as a system support. This can include data and information about spare parts and diagnostic codes. At the moment, we have one on-premise based solution and a new cloud and AWS-based system to be deployed globally. Our new system will provide the end-users with a variety of opportunities such as the possibility to order products, plan maintenance, perform digital protocols and to visualize spare parts.

You will join a team of two other DevOps Engineers and other colleagues working as System Owner, Test Coordinator and Support (3rd line). Some of your tasks and responsibilities will be to:

- Handle parallel activities as we have parallel editions and do releases every three weeks.
- Work and communicate in a structured way by breaking down and setting up services - e.g. which repositories / pipelines are needed and how they are connected.
- Participate in ongoing improvement activities within configuration management.
- Work with particular complex procedures that requires troubleshooting.
- Update and improve processes for the construction chain (CI / CD) of our products diagnostic tool SDP3 and the new cloud-based Scania Workshop Suite (SWS).
- Set up and be responsible for monitoring our services and products.
- Maintain and improve build, import and consistency control scripts for our SDP3 (old) and SWS products.

YOU ARE

We expect you to have a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience of DevOps-based development and configuring services such as Python, Perl, Powershell and Bash. You also need to have knowledge of and experience in systems for version management, monitoring and modern DevOps with Perforce, Gitlab CI, AWS, Docker, Ansible and Vagrant. To be successful in this position you should also have knowledge in programming languages ​​such as Java, create script and Jenkins. Master/bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study is needed for this position.

We also value and aim to be meticulous and quality minded in our daily work. You are also interested in constantly improving your product/work and curious to learn new techniques and skills. Finally, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
