DHL Freight Sweden is looking for a Data Protection Officer with the responsibility to coordinate and control GDPR standards and regulations in Freight Sweden.

DPDHL is the”Logistics company for the whole world” and market leader with more than 570.000 employees. DPDHL offers Mail services in Germany as well as Express, Air-and Ocean Freight, Road- and Rail Freight and Contract Logistics in more than 220 countries and territories. DHL in Sweden has about 4000 employees in 65 offices, terminals and stations in Sweden. DHL Freight Sweden is running the domestic and International Road and Rail transport, with more than 2200 employees and 25 Terminals. The Headquarter is based in Stockholm.

It is a full time position (100%). Place of work can be discussed.

As Data Protection Official your role and responsibilities will be:

• Setting up local processes and monitoring of implementation of the GDPR standards and regulations.

• Define local documentation and reporting process in line with the requirements of Global Data Protection Reporting Concept (e.g. for data subject requests)

• Audit all processing methods locally, which involve the use of personal data.

• Expertise knowledge of data protection law.

• Act as point of contact for any enquiries from data subjects, no matter whether employee or customer.

• Contact and cooperate with the Corporate Data Protection Officer (Global Data Protection department) and other   DPOs in the DPDHL Data Privacy Network.

• Be part of the overall Information Security processes

Description of Role:
* Be involved and ensure compliance at an early stage in the development and design of new and altered operational processes, products/services/applications and marketing measures.
* Advise the respective legal entities (controller or processors) on their data protection law obligations in particular arising from the GDPR, domestic law and the Policy.
* Monitor compliance with applicable data protection laws.
* Perform training to employees on the data protection regulations and the application of the Policy.
* Execute audits with regard to local products/services/applications.
* Keep yourself informed of data breaches and data protection violations. In this context also submit reports to relevant reporting processes (e.g. to the responsible Management and – where applicable - the local competent Data Protection Authority.
* Ensure we address all queries from data subjects within legal timeframes
* Frequent dialog with the Corporate Data Protection Officer (Global Data Protection department) and other DPOs in the DPDHL Data Privacy Network.
* Be skilled in the DPDHL overall Information Security standards and processes
* Support the Information Security Manager in the overall Information Security area

Skills and Experience:
* Expertise in GDPR standards and local regulations.
* Broad knowledge of IT and Information Security
* Experience within a legal, audit and/or risk function department
* Certification within Data Protection is a plus
* Process driven
* Ethical, with the ability to remain impartial and report all non-compliances
* Organizational skills with attention to detail
* Well-developed communication and documentation skills, capable of efficiently communicating with senior management as well as explaining and influencing local managers/supervisors and customers.
* Teamwork skills
* Communication skills both written and oral in Swedish and English
