Diagnostic Calibration Engineer - Diesel Engine On Board Diagnoses

The section Powertrain OBD and Dependability, within Powertrain Controls & Calibration has the mission to ensure that the development of the next generation engines reflects our brand essence of 'Designed Around You'. The section is also responsible for that all legal and customer attributes regarding OBD and Powertrain dependability is met. We oversee the complete development work from concept design and requirement setting as well as calibration and verification in the last development phase. All activities aim to deliver world class OBD and dependability. The department currently holds 110 people working mainly with function development or application for embedded powertrain systems, organized in six groups.
As a Diagnostic Calibration Engineer within the Diesel OBD group you will be part of a team that is responsible for calibration and verification of a certain project. The Diesel OBD group are focusing on delivering diesel related OBD Software functions and tailor made application with respect to legal requirements. In this position we offer you great opportunity to test and develop your own capabilities and become an expert. The area is challenging and growing as legal requirement and new technology in the exhaust aftertreatment area constantly expands. All SW and application is created here and this makes work even more challenging and inspiring. The group currently exist of a Software team leader, calibration leaders, data analyses competences and algorithm developers/application engineers.
Main responsibilities
* Calibration and verification of diagnostic functions
* Planning development of calibration processes
* Develop methods for calibration and verification processes
* Analyses of field data
* Report status to calibration leader
* Evaluation and problem analysis
Required qualifications
* University degree in Mechatronic, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
* Experience in electronic diagnostic systems and system specifications
* Capability to understand complex systems and functions
* Driver's License, B-level
* Fluent in English written and spoken
* Work experience within the automotive industry is meritorious
* Experience of embedded control systems and engine control systems are meritorious
* Skills in designing software algorithms is an asset
