Our opportunities
We are now looking for a Diagnostic Engineer for our team at VCE in Eskilstuna. The work as diagnostic engineer includes development and documentation of strategies for fault-tracing and to test these on the machines. The information we produce is used in the aftermarket by service technicians at the dealers.
Who are you?
You are driving the improvement of fault-tracing support already during the design stage, by actively working and participating in projects that develop new technologies. Most of all work is done in collaboration with others within the company. Therefore, it is essential that you have good cooperative skills, an open and inclusive mindset, can give and take feedback and deliver according to the plans you make with your colleagues. Much of the work is to find relevant information and find out how the new system works. The work is largely theoretically oriented, more than practical. The practical aspects will mostly consist of verification of the machine's functions and the fault-tracing you have developed. We see that you have a long experience of similar work or Master's/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or similar. Modern vehicle technology is familiar to you, and you have an interest in machinery and software features. You also find it to be a challenge to find information and to learn about new systems and new technologies.
Who are we?
As the new Diagnostic Engineer, you will be part of the department Diagnostic & Maintainability Engineering Wheel Loader and Core Technologies. We are the main function to produce information and tools used in the aftermarket for operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of products within Volvo Construction Equipment. We are involved in the development of new products together with R&D departments, not only in Sweden, but also internationally. You will occasionally be travelling within Sweden but also to your other colleagues who are located in Asia and Europe. You will be part of a dynamic team who is adapting to new ways of working and preparing for the future.
