This is what your new colleagues do
At Core System Platform we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture, a key for enabling innovation within areas such as Advanced Connectivity, Machine Learning, and Autonomous Drive. Our mission is to create a Vehicle Control Unit platform using new technologies like DriveOS and NVIDIA’s latest chip technology in combination with more traditional car signaling technologies. We are dedicated to delivering platform functions simplifying the application development to create a safe, reliable, and secure platform solution within Volvo Cars for increased innovation and speed. Within Core System Platform, currently eight High Integrity teams are jointly responsible for the creation and deployment of a platform for high-ASIL components and safety-critical processes.

What you will do
As a Diagnostic Leader for High Integrity, you will become part of the Core System Platform family. You will take a key role in creating a platform for safety-critical Automotive applications. You will lead the diagnostic efforts of several development teams, who rely on your expertise in clarifying customer requirements, breaking them down to diagnostic specifications, and defining verification criteria. As a mentor, you will guide our development teams in the right direction by spreading your knowledge of diagnostic standards and their application to our concrete use cases.

You will work with our software and safety architects as well as diagnostic experts in other organizations to seamlessly integrate diagnostics into our platform architecture. You will own our diagnostic workflow and continuously improve it to reduce cycle times and the need for manual intervention. Your contribution will be crucial for us to build a world-leading, safe, and sustainable High Integrity platform.

Do you fit the profile?
You are experienced with agile development and software development best practices. To fit our diverse team, you need to be a team player that believes in inclusiveness. As a person you are structured, supportive and contribute with personal energy. You are self-driven with great communication skills. You are fluent in spoken and written English. 

We see that you have at least 5+ years proven experience in Automotive diagnostics with strong knowledge of diagnostic standards, such as ISO 14229, ISO 17987, ISO 15765, ISO 13400, or SAE-J2012. You also have a background in safety-critical software according to ISO 26262 or similar.

We see that you are a holder of a university degree within Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar

Nice to have: 
•    You have experience in Automotive software development, system design, or function ownership
•    You have experience in FMEA-based diagnostic design
•    You have experience with AUTOSAR Classic and related tools such as Vector DaVinci
•    You are keen on spreading your knowledge among your co-workers
