Where You’ll Belong
Green Propulsion and Thermal Management are increasingly important areas for Volvo Cars to become leading in Electrification. Are you a SW developer who wants to contribute to energy efficient propulsion? Then this is your chance! We are looking for a Diagnostic Monitoring Engineer to enable our transformation into an SW-driven organization.

You will belong to the team Thermal Monitoring System Development. We design and monitor different temperature levels, cooling down, heating up, transfer/transport and store heat for electric motors, batteries, control modules, etc. all with sustainability in focus. Together we have complete ownership of Thermal Management from the first architectural sketch to software release & monitoring in vehicles.

Your Contribution
You will play a key role in the SW transformation. You will collaborate both within the ART with System architects, SW & Function developers, CAE and Component responsible as well as with other ART’s, Attributes and Aspects. 

Challenges ahead are modularization of SW components, CPU efficient SW strategies and CI toolchains for verification of SW.

Competence is Important
We see that you have at least a BSc in mechatronics, electrical or electronics and solid experience in diagnostics. You have previous experience in diagnostic monitoring and CI toolchains is a natural part of your working process.

Experience in SW development, System design and Function ownership within automotive development, preferably in an Agile framework, will be highly appreciated. Skills in UDS, CANoe, C/C++ will also be seen as beneficial.

You embrace the challenge of making ART Thermal Management into an SW-driven organization with passion! Your technical interest is genuine, and you are driven by curiosity. Further, you have a structured approach and good analytical skills.
