In our journey for electrification and sustainable power solutions Volvo Penta is happy to announce that we are now hiring a VODIA Requirement Engineer to our Diagnostic Tool Development and Production Software department. A Requirement Engineer who has an extensive knowledge in requirement elicitation, Volvo embedded systems including mechatronics and electronics, and who is ready to take action.


VODIA is Volvo Penta’s selected and in house developed diagnostic tool for aftermarket. The tool provides embedded software (ESW) distribution and fault tracing for our Dealers around the world.


About us:
Diagnostic Tool Development and Production Software is a department within Volvo Penta Global Parts and Services, Parts and Service Engineering. We are responsible for the development and support of aftermarket diagnostics tools (VODIA) and software distribution tools (Prosit+) for production. We are now enforcing the organization with employment of one VODIA Requirement Engineer. As a Requirement Engineer you will be a member of the VODIA requirement team, your main responsibility will be to investigate and define what VODIA shall accomplish to support the business needs.

Your main tasks will be to:
Manage feature requests from different stakeholders such as development projects, user input and support organization
Break down functional requests to detailed features for VODIA to support dealer and workshop process
Support projects with technical input concerning VODIA and VODIA’s impact on the ESW processes.
Perform concept modeling, identify business capabilities, use cases, acceptance criteria and development of prototypes
Perform tests and validations with suppliers and VODIA development team when releasing new versions of VODIA
Order functionality from IT solution suppliers

As a person you are analytical, solution focused and comfortable to work both independently and in teams. Volvo Group electrical architecture competence and Volvo Penta business knowledge is meriting as well as competence in developing requirements for IT systems and platforms.
You need to have curiosity and drive to take on new possibilities and you have the drive to challenge existing structures.
