We Are DICE
DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise, the Battlefront franchise, and Mirror’s Edge.
We recognize that our people are the backbone and driving force to our creative products, and we work through our four guiding values: Passion with Purpose, Creative Innovation, Everything Quality, and One Community. At DICE, we live on the edge of technology. Pushing boundaries is not just something we say we do, it will be your job.
Organization Overview
DICE is divided into five crafts; Technology, Design, Content, Development and Production. The UI team is one of the domains under Technology and this is where you will belong and have your line manager, whom you report to. You will also belong to one of the projects in which the five crafts work together.
Role Overview
The DICE UI team creates the layer between fiction and reality. Our mission to immerse players makes DICE UI technology challenging and fun. Challenges are given by UX design, but also rendering performance and implementing our art direction.
We are expanding our UI team and we need an experienced C++ developer. You love to simplify and challenge existing ideas, but you are also happy to use what someone else has built to achieve your goals. You understand the importance of well-structured code, best practices and tested code. You will be faced with a unique technology stack and will be asked to improve it. Whether it’s optimization, feature development or rewriting bug prone code you will do it to take us further and, in the end, make our players see and feel something amazing that they have not experienced before. Every now and then you will face intense periods of research and development, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to achieve with today’s hardware and software.
As a Senior UI Software Engineer at DICE, you will have deep knowledge in your domain. Whether it’s debugging crashes, estimating work to be done or discussing architecture, you will be pulled in as an expert. To be a mentor and in other ways share your knowledge to help the people around you grow will be a part of your daily work.
