Digital 3D developer, Range & Product 3D development
Range & product 3D development within R&P management has the overall responsibility to lead and deploy Digital product development and a connected digital chain with 3D as the base. This include effective and efficient ways of working, methods, competences and tools for the area.
We work with scale-up and implementation of MVPs from DPD-project and roll out to relevant stakeholders. We enable Virtual prototyping and the creation of Virtual Products by securing pre-conditions and support. And with 3D as the change driver, we continue to explore and develop new digital capabilities into product development.
Tasks
As a Digital 3D developer you create concept 3D models and visualisations that help demonstrate design ideas from early product development and throughout the product life cycle. You are involved in developing new and improved 3D capabilities for IKEA and master various 3D modelling techniques and CAD-softwares to cover IKEAs wide product range. As a part of Virtual protoptype shop you support with 3D model precondition for Virtual prototyping and you challenge and inspire designers, development teams and partners to work together in a connected digital chain
Knowledge, capability and motivation
We look for someone who have experience from engineering, design and product development. You have good knowledge in CAD and 3D Computer Graphics, 3D modelling, texturing and rendering and experience working in Solid Works, CLO, Blender, 3D Studio Max, VRay, Adobe CS or equivalent software.
You are a problem solver and have the ability to find new, creative and innovative ways of working to always strive for good 3D based product documentation in the most efficient way.
You have a passion for keeping up with tomorrows trends, 3D technologies and product development techniques and a strong drive to develop the solutions & new ways of working to meet IKEA’s 3D agenda.
