Digital Designer

Arbetsbeskrivning

At Sellpy, our vision is to empower everyone to live circular. We believe there is tremendous financial, social and environmental value in making sure unused items are put back into use. We are proud to be one of the fastest growing startups in Sweden and the leading service for second hand goods. With an infinite amount of used goods just waiting to be sold all over the world, our journey has just begun!

We love technology in all its forms and have built both our client facing products and internal systems from the ground up. We’re looking for a graphic designer with a UI focus to join our team and help us step up everything from interfaces and web components to icons and other graphical assets.

What you will do

- Work closely with the product team, our creative director and internal stakeholders to design and develop the front ends of our user facing and internal products
- Create high-quality, visually engaging designs & graphic components for use in new and existing websites/apps as well as customer facing communication
- Play a vital role in the digital rebranding of Sellpy
- Systemize and structure our UI & graphic components work across Sellpy

We take great pride in crafting the best possible user experience for both selling and buying second hand. Sellpy.se is already used by tens of thousands of users every day, so your work will have great impact from day one.

As our first UI focused designer you will be in charge of our web design initiatives, and we expect you to be a key member of the team, nailing down the foundational design system to be used across Sellpy. You will naturally have lots of freedom and responsibility and you will play an essential role in the team developing the visual profile across all our products.

We would like you to have

- Excellent graphic design skills with an ability to create innovative and unique Sellpy defining assets from scratch
- Enthusiasm for designing and implementing user friendly, visually pleasing interfaces.
- A year or two of experience working with web & UI design with an understanding of the constraints of web development
- Practical knowledge of UI / Prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Principle, etc.)
- Experience working with Design Systems, Style guides and Brand guidelines
- Knowledge of industry best-practice
- An online portfolio, or PDF that you can share with us
- Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS and Javascript
- Experience working within an agile environment
- Experience working with business stakeholders

We are impressed if you have

- Previously worked with web design in close connection with a development team.
- Experience using both Javascript and CSS
- Knowledge of component based web development (React, Angular 2+, Web Components, etc)

You engage in projects enthusiastically and with curiosity, constantly showing a willingness to learn new things. You will enjoy coming to work everyday if you have both an analytical and creative mindset. As you will be thrown in at the deep from start, it’s essential for you to be a quick learner in order to be successful. We also feel it’s important that you don’t take yourself too seriously and have a sense of humour, because we have a lot of fun while growing!

How to apply
If this sounds interesting to you, we really hope that you apply for the role, so we can meet you. You are welcome to submit your application not later than January 31st. Please send us your resume and portfolio as soon as possible as we will evaluate candidates on an ongoing basis.

We are looking forward to your application!
