Digital Officer for Rock Tools Global Operations

Digital Officer for Rock Tools Global Operations

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to be part of something new and exciting, where innovative thinking and bold ideas will take our manufacturing and supply chain into the next era? Our Rock Tools Global Operations organization, part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, is ready to raise the digital bar and we’re looking for a commercially minded, collaborative and inspiring Digital Officer to make it happen.

This job presents a great chance to create a modern, effective and visionary structure based on the IT needs of our business. And that’s not all - when joining us, you’ll be part of a holistic transformation journey and an open-minded, curious team aiming to be the best of the best!

Well, what about the job?
You’re the bridge between our business and the world of IT. A central part of your job is to make sure that we have a successful roadmap based on our IT strategy as well as measurable activity plans to form a world class manufacturing and supply chain – spanning from the systems and IT support needed for today to the new technologies that will bring us towards an advanced digital future.

You translate the IT needs of our operations and transform its complexity into easy grasping facts and figures, understandable scenarios and actionable recommendations. Data quality, risk assessments and transparency are on top of your agenda, and with your process-oriented mindset, you take lead in our full IT delivery. You also advise us on the management and performance of relevant tools and systems, identify competitive opportunities for our IT portfolio and support in various seamless data initiatives. Most of your work is done in close collaboration with our business management, our supply chain teams, the production and other stakeholders within the IT community. As part of a bigger group, you make sure that we follow internal frameworks and guidelines, and you define and manage requirements towards software suppliers and vendors.

You’ll have flexible working conditions, but for this job, your base is in either Stockholm/Västberga or Sandviken, where we have our major production hubs. Some travel is normally included to meet with all parts of our global business and get a deeper understanding of their IT needs.

Your experience is important, and your personality is what makes you great!
As this is a role with a large network and many different stakeholders, we’re looking for a confident and inclusive collaborator who naturally takes lead and enjoys a bit of time in the spotlight. You easily explain complex IT concepts, connect them to the needs of our global operations and guide us how to be successful in the technical field. To manage this, you understand the core of IT architecture and IT processes, and you have broad knowledge of digital tools. You’re also very curious about exploring emerging technical trends and the benefits of digitalization, AI and RPA.

You have proven experience from driving digital change and showing real progress, and you’re skilled in running ERP transformation programs. Experience from manufacturing supply chains and its processes is of course a big advantage. When it comes to education, you need a relevant degree – most likely within IT, Business, Supply Chain or Engineering. And, as we’re present worldwide, you have both cultural awareness and excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

You bring a strategic yet hands-on approach as you set our digital agenda, and you’re full of new tech driven ideas. Your analytical mindset and power of initiative enable you to put things in motion, and you create networks and connect the right people to reach results. We want you to lead us on this change journey that we’re on, and this also means challenging us to think outside the box and make smart business decisions. On top of this, you’re an agile and transparent team player – someone who builds trust, communicates clearly, shares insights and inspires people.
