Volvo Penta Digital & IT is a global function responsible for Digital planning and portfolio management, IT Solution Management, Digital Innovation, Information Management and Enterprise architecture. The Digital & IT function is an active part in developing and shaping the Volvo Penta Digital business offering and IT solutions to meet current and future customer needs.
A company goal is to reach 50% revenues on Customer Services & Solutions. The Digital Solutions are at the core of creating and enabling this revenue streams. Each service and solution need to have its focus to ensure that the customer values are fulfilled. This in its turn will require a E2E perspective on each service.
We are now looking for a Digital Product Manager Services for the D&IT portfolio of Connected and non-Connected Services to join us in building customer oriented Services. We are developing Services such as Uptime Services in both Industrial & Marine segment, Experience Service for our Marine Sector and Services enabling data driven development.
Position description
You will be product manager for a portfolio of Services and also digital products that enable Services. Your responsibility will be to secure that the IT end-to-end solutions in your portfolio deliver the right digital capabilities, features, value and technology development over their lifecycle.
We are working through Volvo Group internal and contracted partners for all IT deliveries, so an important part of the job is to manage supplier relations.
You will be working in team of highly qualified digital experts within Volvo Penta Digital& IT. Together with highly engaged and driven colleagues within the global Volvo Penta organisation and the Volvo Group, you will be responsible for shaping the Digital part of Volvo Penta Services Portfolio that aims to be world class. This to secure a great digital experience to Volvo Penta customers.
This position is a global functional role reporting to the Director Digital Platforms and Services at Volvo Penta Digital & IT.
The position is based at Volvo Penta headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional domestic and international travel is expected.
Core Responsibilities
Be the Digital Services Product Manager for the D&IT portfolio of Connected and non-Connected Services covering Services and enablers such as Uptime Monitoring, VolvoPenta Cloud, Monitoring application, Experience Services, Service Platform and new Services.
Own and manage all Services within the Core Services portfolio
Own and manage the development and operations budget for your Services
Identify and plan for resource & competence capacity needs to support development and operations efforts
Develop strategies and technical roadmaps for the Service portfolio
Secure backlog items with help of Your Service developers in the required/affected product portfolio.
Manage the pipeline of strategic development activities, plan and prioritize development roadmaps, release plans and backlogs for your Services.
Secure coordination of development of new Services
Support Service Ideation
Experience Required
We are looking for someone that has solid experience from product or Service leadership and technical understanding of Digital Service Creation, preferably of Consumer/Customer facing Services. We believe you have:
Experience from developing and operating Digital Services or Digital Products
Experience from Product Ownership, preferably in a micro-services based architecture
Experience from development in Agile Distributed SW Development Environment
Competencies & Skills
A customer, innovation and business development oriented mind-set
Deep interest and knowledge in Service creation and operation, both from a usability and technical perspective
Good interpersonal and leadership skills: ability to effectively collaborate, network and interface with a wide variety of colleagues on different levels, across functions and geographies
Solid communication capacity with an ability to explain complex topics to different audiences
Fluent in English, verbal & written.
Good analytical and planning skills and proven capacity to execute against targets
Minimum Education Required
Academic degree on Bachelor or Master Level in Information technology, Engineering, communication or other area relevant for this position, or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways.
