The opportunity
As Digital R&D Portfolio Manager and Program Manager, you will work with definition of technical solutions and together with stakeholders translate the market needs into new Digital R&D portfolio roadmap for HVDC. You will also be driving al the Digital R&D initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders on the requirements, deliverables, setting up processes for validation of deliverables. In this role you will have an exciting opportunity to work closely with talent R&D engineers, experts, and stakeholders within a global organization. How you´ll make an impact
As Digital R&D Portfolio Manager and Program Manager, you will play a crucial role to ensure the governance of Digital R&D portfolio and successful execution of the R&D projects with following responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical solutions in Digital R&D portfolio roadmap, drive and follow-up decisions for implementation
Collaborate with Digital R&D line management and contribute to the implementation of Digital R&D execution model
Set-up and execute R&D projects together with project team in alignment with our R&D portfolio management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Ensure that applicable quality, cyber security and other processes are followed in the R&D projects
Drive the implementation of the project backlog in a transparent and efficient way and ensure quality and timeliness of releases.
Responsible for Digital portfolio budget and follow up of financials
Follow up time plan, schedules, project estimates and resource plan
Seek new partnerships internally and externally
Conduct risk analysis and drive implementation of mitigation measures.
As an you will be a part of R&D Project Management Office you the possibility to support the R&D organization in continuously improving the processes and project execution
Your background
University degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a technical field (Electrical, Electronics, computer engineering or similar)
10+ years of project management experience in driving and implementing complex, scalable software solutions.
Ability to lead teams geographically dispersed teams in multi-site global environment.
Knowledge of software and digital solutions, IoT, cloud computing, big data, and analytics is desired.
Prior experience in line management role is beneficial
Knowledge of gate model and checklist process is beneficial
Knowledge of Scrum framework or similar Agile-Lean stage gate framework is
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Structured, driven and interested to continuously improve processes
Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken
