The Digital Sales Lead for Business Line Digital drives the profitable growth of Digital Products, Solutions and Platforms within Sweden for Business Line Digital of the PA Process Industries Division (PAPI), which holds the global market responsibilities for following verticals: Aluminium, Batteries, Cement, Metals, Discrete Manufacturing, Food & Beverages, Mining and Paper. You will be part of the Local Marketing and Sales team within Process Industries division Sweden and will together with the segment sales teams define the Sales strategy, and Marketing and Business Development plans for digital within each industry vertical. You will work with the Regional Solutions Consulting team, Regional Industry Consulting team and local sales to execute on these strategies and plans through all phases of opportunities. You will report to the local Division Sales Manager, with functional reporting line to Regional Sales Director Europe within Business Line Digital.
Your responsibilities
Consulting on & selling digital solutions such as, but not limited to: Asset Performance Management (APM), Manufacturing & Operations Management (MES, IOM), Process Performance Management, Energy Management based portfolio, tailored to the Minerals, Metals, Paper, Food & Beverages and Batteries Industries.
Owning and driving the Marketing & Sales and Business Development activitites of the Digital portfolio for the swedish market.
Meeting digital sales targets including order volume and order gross margin.
Lead sales for the Value Portfolio areas of Operational Excellence, Process Performance, Asset Performance Management, Sustainability Solutions, Cyber Security and Connected Workforce and other IT digital applications in the ABB PAPI core- industries.
Meeting with and influences customer's senior technical and business leadership on value solutions.
Analysing customer requirements to ensure digital solution(s) meets objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge to create business value.
Continuously driving sales and business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions with Local Sales and Regional Digital teams.
Your background
5+ years’ experience in the OT/Software industry with focus on industrial digitalization and the Internet of Things, with deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends.
A bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or master’s degree in Business Administration or technical field would be an advantage.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, any additional language is an asset.
Availability to travel domestically as required. Extensive exposure to various unit operations within one or two industries as well as sound knowledge of Value Portfolio needs in the PAPI Core Industries.
Knowledge of solutions and applications covering Asset Performance Management (APM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Energy Management, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) as well as historians, OPC Servers and associated technology stacks.
Proven track record in customer focus, exposure to customer top management, consultative selling, driving results and turning opportunities into sales successes. Hands-on experience with software applications in one or more Value Portfolio areas like APM, APC from leading vendors.
Experience from manufacturing applications covering quality control, inventory, OEE, material tracking and supply chain management. Experience in the industrial software environment and demonstrated expertise surmounting challenges around Data Integration, Legacy Systems, lack of standards and Cybersecurity Concerns.
Project execution experience in the implementation of MES solutions and understanding of customer data integration requirements across automation and corporate network levels. Background in cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning as applied to Process Performance solutions.
