Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
As Digital is one of the key drivers in the ecosystem of logistics and sustainable transport solutions Scania in 2017 established a strategic central function with the aim of accelerating digitalization across Scania. Digital transformation is today engaging all parts of Scanias business, from Product Development, Order to delivery to Sales & Service delivery. The central function is headed by Chief Digital Officer Mikael Cato, reporting to CEO Henrik Henriksson.
The digitalisation efforts are managed and executed cross functionally through
• CEO and Executive Board with integrated digital governance aiming at speed and impact with both here and now objects as well as targets set in the 2025 strategy
• Business CDOs working integrated in each of the functions management teams
• A Digital officer network incl. their local digital offices, led by business representatives
• A central team of strategic, digital and leadership capabilities (the Digital Office)
Key responsibility areas for the Digital office going forward are
• To Inspire, challenge and work jointly with key decision makers to set the Digital direction for Scania and ensure the Digital transformation gets embedded and driven throughout the business
• Also to Build select Digital capabilities and in those drive step change in maturity across the organization
What you will do
The role is of significant importance in enabling Scania to execute on our positioning in the ecosystem of logistics and sustainable transport and we are looking for You who will bring a high ambition in
• Leading and partially recruiting a team of Digital strategists serving four dimensions of Scania business
• Digitally enabled business models and services
• Commercial and retail digitalization
• Industrial digitalization
• Support system digitalization
• Establishing and maintaining a framework for digital strategy development, covering elements like; trend analyses, benchmarking, identification of digital business opportunities, internal capability analyses, KPI and target setting as well as road map definition
• Taking part in steering critical programs/projects
• Supporting Scania leaders in making digital business development part of the yearly business development and governance processes
Your profile
You have a Master’s degree or equivalent and 10+ years of experience working with Strategy and digital business transformation – in one or more of the following domains; Automotive, Industry 4.0, Digital Marketing & Sales / Retail.
You bring experience in leading and driving strategy processes and initiatives on an executive level in an international business context.
Since you are an inspirational leader and have a natural way of bringing out the best in teams and individuals You also bring a proven experience and ability to build and develop lasting relationships to drive change.
You bring deep knowledge and experience in strategy development either from senior line positions, management consulting or preferably both.
You bring an understanding of and also follow the digital trends impacting the automotive industry and the ecosystem of transport and logistics.
