We are looking for a Digital Strategy and Innovation Manager who can help Volvo Penta to explore opportunities, innovative ideas, market and competition insights and transformation needs within the area of Digitalization.
In this role, you will be located in the Gothenburg Lundby Campus and join the Volvo Penta Digital & IT department. You will be part of a team with ambitious people, passionate about what they do, and with constant desire to learn and innovate to drive the digital transformation at Volvo Penta. Outside Digital & IT, you will join and work in close collaboration with the strategy network and business functions of Volvo Penta but also establish and cooperate with innovation hubs at Volvo Group.
An exciting opportunity for a strategic & innovative business developer:
We believe you have a strong strategic profile with a strong interest in modern digital technologies and how that can drive business development. You will be responsible for building and managing a digital innovation pipeline based on trend scouting, analysis of current and potential upcoming competitors as well as ideas captured from customers and other Volvo Penta business functions. An indicative time horizon is around 18-36 months into the future but where we need to explore and validate these ideas before scaling and industrializing in our digital roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
Within the area of digitalization
Build and manage a structured framework for innovation including an innovation pipeline
Drive exploration and concept development activities
Make Go/No-Go decisions and recommendations of explored ideas
Perform trend scouting and share with relevant stakeholders
Manage and continuously update analysis of market and competition
Help defining metrics and goals to continuously improve digital innovation and transformation
Engage and nurture a collaboration with other strategy and innovation stakeholders representing and driving digitalization in Volvo Penta and Volvo Group
Your skills:
Curious personality willing to take an active role in the digital transformation of Volvo Penta
Customer and business development mindset is key- but also to dare to succeed and dare to fail
Team player- ability to effectively collaborate, network and interface with a wide variety of colleagues on different levels, across functions and geographies
Work experience from
Business development based on and leveraged by digital technology
Strategy function or strategy consulting
Establishing an innovation framework
Customer centric development of digital solutions, services and experiences
Excellent analytical and planning skills and capacity to execute against targets
Good ability of translating business needs into experiences, solutions and services
Good communication and presentation skills
Fluent communication in English
