Supply Network Quality (SQN) is a global organization within GTP responsible to drive the global supply network towards premium automotive quality standards. This means we are responsible to secure the manufacturing capabilities of the supply network, to quality assure the purchased parts and to continuously improve the quality performance of the supply network base. We work with these matters both in sourcing, projects and operations with a clear objective to provide excellent products to our end customers.
Position description
We are now looking for an improvement driven candidate to take on the role as Digitalization and business development specialist within Supply Network Quality (SNQ).
Your responsibility is to define, develop and maintain the SNQ digitalization roadmap both in Europe and globally with a clear VPS mindset.
One part of your digitalization activity is to develop new tools, a second part is to ensure our current tools are improved so that our SNQ teams and employees can reach a high level of efficiency.
You work closely with our Purchasing Strategy and Digitalization team in GTP and with the SNQ operational teams, so our IT tools are pragmatic, accurate and adding value to the people and the business. You ensure each IT tool is developed with the relevant training plan towards internal and external stakeholder.
You represent SNQ in all future IT master programs within GTP.
Your responsibility is to animate the SNQ Execution Plan program and governance and highlight to the management the progress and roadblocks.
You interact with many SNQ colleagues across the globe and with other departments within GTP and outside GTP. You will work with Group Trucks Technology to explore opportunities with predictive quality using big data and analytics.
You report to the Head of SNQ, Business Development.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate has a proven track record of 5+ years in quality assurance, preferably supplier quality assurance, within the automotive industry. Having strong capabilities in IT development is a great asset.
You have a strong willingness to develop our future IT tools and ensure they are creating efficiency.
You are passionate about making things better and you constantly develop, take ownership and accountability for the scope of the department you belong to.
You are passionate to deliver great results and add value to your customers.
This role requires that you are a true connector: you have strong ability to form trustful and cross-functional relations both within and outside the Volvo Group. You carry the flag with the ambition to be industry benchmark for supplier network quality.
You are highly driven, like speed and make things happen by constantly and swiftly switching between strategic work and hands-on operational work.
As a program leader, you have an inclusive leadership, taking quick decisions and have the capability to bring out the best from the team you work with! You are enabler for the execution of Volvo Group’s & GTP’s business.
Required competencies for the position:
You have a high ambition combined with a strong drive, a can-do mind-set, a hands-on attitude, and an ability to drive many initiatives in parallel.
You are never satisfied with the status-quo and have a strong willingness to improve the status and results.
You have a documented experience within engineering, purchasing or IT development.
University degree in Engineering / business. A specialty in continuous improvement and IT development is an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of proven high-level deliveries in quality, preferably in supplier quality in an international environment
Strong willingness to make things greater.
Sound judgement – ability to take the right actions and decision at the right time together with internal stakeholders, with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind
Strong drive to develop and improve and ability to get things done
Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written English
