Dining Room Service
Job Responsibilities:
Organize and coordinate the service for 14-20 guests in the dining room
Greet guests and be able to read a situation and create instant solutions in possibly compromising situations to maximize guest dining experience
Coordinate the ordering, pick up and delivery of all food and beverage to work station
Maintains friendly and professional attitude towards guests and coworkers
Understands food safety programs and maintains USPH sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout work area
Practices up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
Request proof of identity to verify age of guest before serving alcoholic drinks to guests that appear to be underage
Have the ability and confidence to discontinue serving alcohol to specific guests
Responsible for all side work and other duties assigned by management
Must be receptive to working fast food outlets including Castaway Cay and buffets
Additional duties may be included during midnight buffet and snacks
Qualifications:Should have a good knowledge of international wines and cocktail recipes as well as brands of alcohol
Must be open minded to any training and continuous improvement of service techniques required to achieve a higher standard
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in the service industry
(Ship experience preferred but not necessary)
