ABOUT THE ROLE: 

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our client's purchasing team in Gothenburg. Our client is a well established company in the automotive industry. You will be part of the Exterior System team with global buyers and you will be responsible to secure running projects and day to day business. The group belongs to Exterior Purchasing and work with components such as Lighting, Rear View Mirrors and Washer/Vipers.

In summary you will be responsible for:

Act as main contact for commercial issues towards the suppliers
Lead price negotiations, during program phase as well as running production changes
Participate in cross functional teams within Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing
Drive continuous improvement activities within purchasing and suppliers
Administration work involves transactions, updating price files, reporting of performance
Work toward individual targets
Support yearly commercial negotiations with the objective to reduce cost and price for the area

IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

We are looking for you with:



An educational background in business administration, finance, purchasing or similar.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience within purchasing, working with both national and international suppliers.
Excellent communications skills both written and spoken in English along with basic Swedish.


It is considered as an advantage if you specifically have experience from purchasing within the automotive industry. 

In order to be a good fit for this position, you enjoy working in a structured manner and are motivated by problem solving. You enjoy a combination of dealing with simpler day-to-day tasks to more demanding challenges, such as negotiations with major suppliers. We also believe that you like targets and really enjoys to negotiate. At our client, the team works very focused, hence it’s important that you are a team player with good cooperation abilities. 

EMPLOYMENT: 

This is a consultant assignment meaning you will be employed by OIO. The ambition is for the assignment to be transferred to a permanent employment at the client company. 

ADDITIONAL INFO: 
Employment type: Full-time, until the end of 2022 with possibility for an extension
Working hours: Office hours with a flexible schedule and with the possibility to work from home 25% of the time.
