REPORT TO: Direct Dialogue Coordinator
SUPERVISE: 4 to 5 entry-level Frontline Representatives
HOURS: 30-35 hours per week (full-time)
COMPENSATION: 130 sek per hour + BONUS
SUMMARY
Greenpeace Sweden’s Frontline team is the public face of Greenpeace and the program’s objective is to increase our financial strength and support for our mission of creating a green and peaceful future by recruiting monthly donors through a combination of street and door-to-door fundraising tactics.
The Team Leader is a central leader of any Greenpeace Frontline office with the authority to hold Frontline Representatives accountable to standards and expectations, coach staff across teams on fundraising skills, and manage the schedule and performance of Frontline Representatives on their team. Each Team Leader has approximately four people on their team at any given time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance: Ensure that new member and financial goals are achieved by meeting the following objectives:
Personal and Team Fundraising - all staff are held to a weekly fundraising goal and Team Leaders are expected to maintain a high, consistent performance record
The Team Leader must ensure that all team members have adequate support, training and resources to achieve the team goal
Team Leaders should be available to work both door and street shifts any given day each week, as assigned by the Direct Dialogue Coordinator
Management, Training and Coaching
Complete and submit weekly planning reports to the Coordinator team which include the following:
KPI (Key Performance Indicator) analysis of the fundraising metrics for your team as a whole and each individual on your team
Skills assessment for each member of your team
Training and development requests for your team
Find creative ways to maintain a high level of staff motivation and build an inclusive workplace culture
Conduct regular and ongoing training sessions with team members
Relay campaign knowledge and event information to team members
Observe and train team members in the field and provide constructive feedback
Ensure that all staff are working with integrity by properly representing Greenpeace at all times
Provide assistance with recruiting new staff and training new hires
Set daily objectives and goals for each team member
Debrief with each team member after their shift, reinforcing good work and addressing areas of concern
Meet one-on-one with team members regularly and as necessary to provide support, develop their skills and create a growth plan for them and the team
Hold staff accountable to Greenpeace standards and job expectations
Assist the Coordinator team with data entry as needed
Manage office responsibilities as assigned
Turf Research, Development and Management
Research and develop strategic canvassing locations for street canvass shifts
Help identify new new areas and turf for door canvass shifts
Office and National Leadership
Advance train all staff to assist other leadership roles in the Program as necessary
Team Leaders are among the first to travel to other cities in the Sweden to aid in the opening of new offices, take a lead on travel opportunities, and assist with staff development and team growth in existing offices
RecruitmentMessage organic recruitment (employment referrals and in-field recruitment) as high priority and lead your team by consistently recruiting new job applicants each week
Perform phone interviews and one-on-one interviews when requested by the Coordinator team
Find creative ways to increase the quantity and improve the quality of applicants to work with Frontline
CAREER ADVANCEMENT
Team Leaders may apply and be considered for the role of City Coordinator once the Team Leader has mastered advanced Team Leading skills as well as learned basic skills of operating a Frontline office from the Senior City Coordinator. Promotions are dependent upon availability.
COMPENSATION
Base Pay
Frontline Team Leaders are paid an hourly rate of 130 sek for hours worked and are also eligible to receive a bonus each week based on both their personal fundraising performance.
Bonus
Frontline Team Leaders are eligible for the same bonus incentives as Frontline Representatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
An ability to manage and motivate a team of staff; ability to identify, recruit, train and retain staff; short-term strategic planning skills; an ability to receive and implement feedback; a proven ability to successfully complete the responsibilities of a Frontline Representative; effective and clear communication and listening skills; tenacity and resilience; an ability to work outside, standing/walking for long periods of time; a demonstrated respect of and to all personal identities; a passion for social and environmental justice.
Experience: Experience working in face-to-face fundraising or direct marketing with demonstrated success as well as a background in staff management and/or training.
