Klarna is divided into several business units and teams with their unique responsibilities and scope. In the credit risk area of responsibility lies decisioning teams, credit modelling teams, reporting teams and infrastructure teams. The goal is the same, to focus on the continuous improvement of our credit risk real-time decisions for every transaction processed by Klarna. Our Analysts and data scientists aim to understand Merchant behaviors to identify and address merchant credit risk with the help of various tools to protect our business from credit risk-related losses and consumers' over-indebtedness and abuse.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain model, rule & operational limit strategy in automated underwriting processes
Ensure risk appetite 1) in absolute numbers meet targets compared to plan and 2) do not breach the board limit on losses
Optimise, monitor and control underwriting for defined operational risk appetite Ensure underwriting is compliant with applicable laws and regulations Report on Merchant risk performance to management and other stakeholders
Design implement and optimise credit lookup strategy Detect, mitigate and report any incidents. In addition to the above you will also be the face of the institution for external credit regulation and assessment agencies.



Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Ability Excellent track record in optimizing business performance and identifying gaps in business strategy, with a focus on credit risk Demonstrable experience in writing and executing underwriting business plans
Strong analytic skills and numerical aptitude will be essential
Broad operational skills and experience in an underwriting, including budgetary management, financial management, resource allocation
Experience in using structured approaches to problem-solving
Be positive, self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills
Fantastic stakeholder management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
