Job Description
As the Area Lead Engineer for Data Platform Engineering, you will play a vital role for us in our mission to make H&M Group a truly data and insight driven company.​You will be responsible for engineering teams working with development of master data within and outside SAP. The teams work in an agile and cross-functional setup. You need to be passionate about people in all aspects, from recruiting, developing, coaching, and shaping the team. You need to drive a cultural shift from being reactive and accepting requirements towards actively engaging in the team mission. You do this in close collaboration with the teams Product Owner and Scrum Master, and together you are the trio that supports the teams becoming self-managing and high performing with people as the center of your joint mission.​


Responsibilities:
Be an available and approachable manager for team members by inspiring and coaching them 1-1 on their personal development journey in alignment with the needs of the team and H&M.​
Energize people and teams by being a catalyst leader​
Identify future competence gaps ​
Responsible to provide input to QBR on critical technology priorities that will enable continued product development and scaling ​
Lead, coach and develop members of the area, promoting best practice in technical architecture and continually benchmarking against industry standards​
To establish, deliver, and refine a platform engineering roadmap to ensure that all platforms and products remain current, deliver value to product engineering teams, and supports the needs of internal stakeholders in terms of scalability, resilience, security, capacity, and operational maintenance.​
Define a technology roadmap that includes deliverables focused on the continued improvement of the supported solutions, empowering a culture through the use of automated platform capabilities underpinning customer-focused product engineering and development.​
In collaboration with Product Engineering, and colleagues in Service Management and Operations, work to reduce or eliminate manual or repetitive tasks, improving the end-to-end health and performance of the underlying platforms.​



Qualifications
Experience:
Proven advanced training in information technology, computer science or equivalent​
have extensive experience in leading and coaching data engineers at customer-focused companies​
have a good understanding of master data management and you are familiar with SAP MM and SAP SD or similar. A plus if you are familiar with S4 HANA. Thrive when developing outstanding colleagues who create amazing products​
Demonstrates a combination of a highly technical engineering leader and effective relationship skills​
Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities​
Deep understanding of the cost drivers in systems delivery and operations and the commercial consequences of the technical decisions made. Ability to manage and prioritize dozens of requirements, deadlines, & projects​
