Danfoss is looking for a Director, Business Unit Sales to take global responsibility for BU sales and leading the BU Sales global team. You will facilitate seamless coordination between Plants and Sales outlook to ensure accurate Plant loading forecasts. You will align BU strategy with Sales & Marketing organization and implement market driven pricing strategy in line with Danfoss/Power Solutions/Work Function business drivers. You will also represent the BU in all relevant forums and protect its interests with various stakeholder groups, internal and external.
If you take this challenging and exciting position, your areas of responsibility will be to:
• Represent the Voice of the Customer within the BU
• Work across the BU, Sales & Marketing (S&M) and Customers to implement BU strategy
• Develop sales implementation plans in collaboration with S&M to achieve BU growth targets
• Align BU strategy within Division and with other BUs as appropriate
• Build extensive knowledge of global markets, customer key accounts and competition
• Closely work with global demand planning, providing input to sales and market development & forecasting
• Work with Global Pricing on Price strategies & competitive price knowledge. Implement Danfoss Pricing initiatives
• Implement new systems and platforms to enhance customer experience and reduce customer response lead times
• Work closely with other Functions within Danfoss on New Product Development initiatives
• Coordinate Marketing activities with Divisional/ Group Marketing to enhance BU image in the market and customer mindset
• Support the implementation of Digitalization within the BU
• Part of the BU Leadership team - always driving great results!
• Lead global team of sales development managers (SDM), product application engineering (PAE) team (leading leaders)
• Develop people at every level through goal setting, individual development plans and regular performance reviews
• Represent the BU in all customer negotiations in collaboration with S&M team
• Create and operate within department budget. Proactive participation in meeting the BUs margin target
• Develop the vision for the future of enhanced customer experience in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders
For you to be successful in this position, we expect you to have extensive experience from similar kind of positions and you hold a relevant Master’s degree. Furthermore, we are looking for you who is:
