We are now looking for a Director Business Development – Medium Business to take on a strategic role in making sure that Axis continue to grow by focusing on the Medium Business market where we foresee a strong growth potential the coming years, as the market is converging from analogue to IP based video solutions. 

The location for this position is preferably at our headquarters in Lund, Sweden. This is a global role why extensive travel will be necessary.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The responsibility will be to drive and expand Axis business towards the Medium Business market on a global basis. This will include working closely with the sales regions as a knowledge provider, supporting them with the development of their business. The role also includes to work together with central recourses in Solutions Management to develop the strategy and tools needed to successfully approach this market segment.

The holder of this position will also coordinate and share best practices between the different markets and work closely with Marketing to develop relevant communication and sales tools.

Other main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

* Support the development of the sales strategies in the regions.
* Work with the regions to develop relevant channel towards Medium Business including Distributors, System Integrators and Re-sellers.
* Follow up on Key Performance Indicators to make sure that we are tracking according to set ambitions within this strategic initiative.
* Be a spokesperson when it comes to Medium Business in the industrial press and other media.
* Being a bearer of our company culture.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an open minded and self-driven individual with experience of strategic international sales and of working through distribution, hence understands the dynamics of using a two-tier distribution model.

We believe that the right candidate is a person who would thrive to see the regions being successful as a result of your support and knowledge sharing. We furthermore believe that a successful applicant is proactive and independent in thought and action and has a strategic mind-set while at the same time enjoy working hands on to move things forward.

Apart from the above we think you have the following qualifications:

* At least ten years’ experience from the video surveillance industry in either a sales or a product management role.
* A background from an international business environment.
* A commercial Bachelor degree, University education or equivalent.
* Proven record of accomplishment from development and execution of business plans.
* Comfortable with communicating at all levels in the organization and understand the value of building long-term relationships.
* Comfortable with working in different cultural environments.
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
