Senior Director Commercial, Nordics Consumer Health
Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health Northern Europe is recruiting for the next Senior Director Commercial Nordics. They will bring a #ONETEAM mindset working in an agile, E2E business focused on winning consumers every day. This position is located in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Senior Commercial Director, Nordics will lead, develop, and execute the growth strategies for the Nordics aligned with the Northern Europe and Global Consumer Health strategies. They will work closely with Northern Europe Squads, Global Franchises, and broader E2E Consumer Health functional teams to develop and grow the Nordics business. This position will report to the Managing Director, Consumer Health Northern Europe and will be a member of the Northern Europe Consumer Health Leadership Team.
The Nordics Senior Commercial Director will shape and execute the business strategy, identifying opportunities to build strong customer partnerships to win in emerging channels as well as in Mass, Discounter and Pharmacy. They will be responsible for a building a highly engaged, high performing team to deliver in year and for the future. Through their team and in close collaboration with the Northern Europe Squads they will build the business to meet the needs of Consumers, maximizing growth, and profitability. The business is expected to continue to grow through product innovation, new product launches, commercial innovation, and rapid growth in eCommerce.
The incumbent will build organizational capabilities to future proof the organisation as consumer engagement, ways of working and routes to Go-To-market models continue to shift to online and digital, enabled by data and analytics. The incumbent will build networks to shape and influence the external environment, identifying opportunities and threats and adjust the plan & resourcing to be highly competitive. Incumbent has full P&L responsibility in the Nordics and develops/executes the commercial strategies to drive market share, top and bottom-line growth. The role has 7 direct reports, leading a direct team of 96 and end-to-end team of 130 based across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. They will be responsible for the E2E business, leading and developing a high performing team and culture to deliver in year and for the future. Deliver Business Plan Growth Targets
Demonstrate learning agility to quickly develop a deep understanding of the Nordics markets, J&J business in the local context, the people, and unique cultures across 4 countries to continue the Nordics growth trajectory.
Deliver the in-year business roadmap with clear priorities and KPIs – ensuring all employees are aligned behind the Northern Europe Cluster mission and have clarity on what’s required to deliver on commitments.
Build a high performing and inclusive team through developing OneTeam mindset, organisation agility, role modelling servant leadership and bringing a digital first culture to life.
Focus on building organisation capacity through improving processes through elimination, automation and outsourcing.
Bring innovation into the Nordics market relevant to the consumers across 4 countries. Lead organization to deliver compelling 2021 and 2022 business growth plans.
Responsibility for developing talent, building a diverse and inclusive team, enhancing core commercial and future capabilities and resource to deliver the plan.
Deliver on all compliance requirements, setting the tone from the top and living into our Credo, to deliver Market Share, GP, HCP recommendations, Top and bottom-line targets.
Inspire the team behind the Consumer Health Mission, bringing that to life locally to deliver the plan
Develop and deliver the 3 Year Operating Plan through the Nordic team and in partnership with NE Marketing
Underpinned with a clear Portfolio, Channel and customer strategy – where to play and how we will win
Continue to assess the external environment and new industry developments, identifying new opportunities to grow across different channels to enable us to win with our customers and consumers
Enhance existing and develop new business relationships, heighten external awareness of the company, and provide leadership to the commercial and activation teams in market
Shape and develop the organization structure, culture, capabilities and build our talent to execute the strategic plan working as OneTeam E2E.
Qualifications
Previous general management experience is desirable and progressive commercial experience is required.
Commercial Leader with experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods healthcare environment is required.
Experience of leading large teams is required, ideally virtually and/or across multiple markets in a diverse international environment.
Candidate must have superior leadership skills. Experience in establishing business goals and strategies.
Strong commercial experience with knowledge of building partnerships with various types of customers with multiple trade channels, including accelerating eCommerce.
Digital experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to lead end to end cross-functional, diverse teams through a complex business environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team through others. A leader builds high engagement and has demonstrated the ability to define and shape culture.
Strong collaborative leader who is resilient and adaptable.
Experience of building capability and developing talent to build a business which has a learning mindset and the skills to succeed
Ability to manage a complex portfolio through complex problem solving.
P&L/financial management, and business planning experience are required.
Strong curiosity and creative drive to support new ways to solve undefined issues.
Educated to degree level, Master’s preferred, or has gained relevant equivalent experience
This position requires up to 20% travel post-Covid.
