What do we offer?
The Corporate Finance team is a strategic resource within Volvo Car Group focusing on M&A and value creation. The team also lead equity capital markets projects and other large scale strategic financial projects. Further, Corporate Finance supports with strategic and operational aspects related to M&A. including carveouts, integrations and restructurings.
As Director for Corporate Finance you will be responsible to lead M&A projects with cross functional project teams. You will have responsibility for financial modelling and analysis in support of VP Corporate Finance, the CFO and the Executive Management Team of Volvo Car Group.
Working in Corporate Finance is demanding and offers great opportunities to develop. In this position you will gain exposure to a wide range of financial and strategic matters and for the right candidate this role will provide the basis for further career opportunities.
The position reports to Head of Corporate Finance.
Who are we looking for?
In order to succeed in this role it is important that you are a team player with exceptional collaboration skills and an ability to create trust and build relationships with colleagues at various levels. You have a sense of integrity, strong analytical skills and a strong drive to deliver on commitments. Further, you have a proven ability to bring clarity to complex business issues and proven success in managing complex projects, strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
You will be working in a global and multicultural environment which requires a proactive and flexible approach.
Do you fit the profile?
You would carry an University degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance. You have the strong drive and ability to lead complex projects. You should also have experience from M&A processes at a major corporate or relevant advisor such as a bank, accounting firm, M&A boutique or consultant. You are a strategic and analytical thinker with ability to focus on details and figures, synthesize broad amount of information into actionable information for executives. Furthermore, you are able to quickly spot issues and develop a recommended approach.
You have an understanding of basic accounting concepts along with excel modelling and valuation skills. You have the capacity to take initiatives and work independently on projects and deliver against set targets. You have good communication and people management skills. You have experience from negotiations as well as a self-starter with ability to streamline executive decision making. You are fluent in English both verbally and written as well as be able to communicate effectively in presentations. You are a team player with ability to build broad relationships internally and externally.
