What you will be a part of
Saab Group Government Relations primary role is to maintain and develop good general relations with governmental authorities and agencies, primarily in Sweden and Bryssels, aiming to maximize Saab overall business. This includes managing and coordinating for early alert and actions as well as related advocacy on civil and military trends, new legislation, policies and budget and research directions . All in order for Saab to reach its' overall business targets, and to contribute to new business possibilities. Saab Group Government Relations also coordinates and drives the Corporate Responsibility work within Saab.
The Director Government Relations reports to the Head of Government RelationsSaab Group Government Relations is now looking for a Director Government Relations working primarily in the area of export support. Saab Group Government Relations is a Corporate Group Function reporting to the deputy CEO.
Your role
You will on a daily basis set business priorities, coordinate and execute on export support matters together with Market Areas, Business Areas and relevant Group Functions. Your position and the work of the Saab Group Government Relations staff distinctively requires professionalism, independence, loyalty and integrity as well as confidentiality. A part of your work will be to interact with foreign diplomatic missions in Stockhom.
Your role will be to represent Saab by promoting our interests with the aim to ensure high priority for our export business in order to facilitate Swedish governmental export support in line with Saab business plan. You will need to maintain and develop good general relations with the Swedish government, its authorities’ and agencies.
Your skills and experience
Good knowledge of Swedish Government, its authorities and agencies with a well-established network within relevant group of stakeholders.
Relevant academic education and at least 15 years relevant work experience from Government and/or Defense industry with a good understanding of the Swedish Security and Defense arena.
Thorough knowledge of Saab as a company is a merit.
Proven teamwork ability with excellent social and communication skills being good in expressing yourself, both in speech and writing.
Your way of working must be characterized by taking initiative, sometimes in a stressful environment, to get things done in a structured and efficient way.
Fluent in English, both orally and writing, is a demand.
This position includes access to classified information, therefore you are required to conduct a security screening in accordance with the Protective Security Act and be approved for security clearance by the authority.
