What’s in it for you?
In our department, Product Regulation & Compliance, we work with stakeholders both within and outside Volvo Cars and in the daily business, we collaborate with international technical service partners, Volvo colleagues and authority representatives on a daily basis. We cover numerous aspects of the vehicle, and we are constantly challenged from both regulative or technology perspectives. Our daily tasks are to plan, prepare and ensure vehicle type approval to enable sales of our products on all markets where Volvo Cars is present. Besides the classical legal requirements, we need to demonstrate by both testing and by technical descriptions, we are facing interesting challenges that comes with Autonomous Drive functions, Connectivity and functional updates via continuous software releases for example. What you’ll do
The Homologation Integration team are contributing to both current and future vehicle releases with all required prerequisites to fulfil certification/homologation. But the team is also representing the department towards all markets around the world that require certification activities of different kind. Our business is truly international where we work with both teams in VCC sales companies as well as with authorities. 
Your role is to support the Homologation Integration teams by removing obstacles and helping them develop. You’ll contribute and support ways of working, through both technical and people leadership and in close collaboration with product owners and the other teams and leaders. You are a person that have well proven leadership capabilities, good communication skills, collaborate well but are also interested in the daily operations and tasks in order to support the team development and deliveries. 
The main delivery for the department is the Vehicle Type Approvals which is one of the last pieces that needs to be in place in order to start the sales of our vehicles. Therefore, you need to enjoy the exposed working life which comes with the final approvals before we can start to manufacture the vehicles. 

You and your skills
We are looking for an experienced manager, who have previously built and led successful teams. You have experience in people management, cross-functional collaboration as well as a strong sense of business. To succeed in this role, it is an advantage to have working experience from vehicle programs / releases or engineering teams within the automotive industry. You probably have a degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience. Strong people management, collaboration and communication skills are essential when working in a diverse and international setting. It is also important that you are continuously developing your own skills and guide and coach your teams to continuously develop theirs.
