The energy landscape is changing and requires Vattenfall to adopt in their endeavour to utilise emerging opportunities like Internet of things and E-Mobility and to ramp up our efforts to meet new challenges in an evolving security risk landscape.
In order to align with these challenges, Vattenfall is now looking for a Director Information & Cyber Security. The Corporate Security & Resilience function strives to be a modern, flexible and agile security function that has great knowledge of emerging threats. The main task of the function is to provide governance and support throughout the Vattenfall Group in order to ensure mitigation of security related risks as well as regulatory compliance in the countries where we operate.
In this senior and global role, you will head a team of talented colleagues with a true ambition to become a benchmark business-oriented security organisation. Together with your team, you will develop, drive and implement a holistic information and cyber security framework for Vattenfall Group. You will directly manage a team of senior security experts within the security resilience field and functionally lead security professionals in the group wide security and resilience organisation. In your role, you will be part of the CS&R Management Team report directly to Vattenfall’s Chief Security Officer (CSO).
Main responsibilities:
Leading a team of dedicated colleagues and consultants to develop information- and cyber security policies, guidance and create awareness.
Leading and aligning the information & cyber security strategy (as part of the overall security strategy) throughout the Group
Chairing our group forum for information & cyber security, where stakeholders from all business areas and staff functions are represented
As a member of the CS&R Management team, and the Security Council; the role provides input and is part of defining and developing the Group Security & Resilience strategy
Building a team that develops and adjusts our way of working to enable the business on the digitalisation journey, while managing emerging cyber threats towards Vattenfall
Continuously monitoring processes and driving improvements in efficiency and quality of the overall security & resilience portfolio
Acting as point of contact for selected Business Areas as part of the annual Security cycle
Guiding Vattenfall in strategically important projects and programs
Being up to date with industry best practices, vendor capabilities, academic frameworks and relevant authorities to sustain a state-of-the-art and highly innovative information & cyber security program.
Your profile and qualifications:
We are looking for a security leader who engages with other key stakeholders, to find the best solution to a challenge. Communication and drive are key success factors in this position.
Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent educational background
Prior experience in relevant positions
Experience of managerial positions
Experience in information and cyber security management in multi-stakeholder environments
Strong knowledge of both IT and OT security
Experience in information and cyber security management with an international focus
Master our group language English, both spoken and written on an excellent professional level.
Good knowledge of EU and national authorities' working methods and requirements for the energy industry
Experience from the energy business or larger global industrial company is a plus.
