Your role

As part of its global marketing and sales strategy, Saab focuses its market effort. One of the markets is Western Europe. We are now looking for a Director Marketing and Sales who will be responsible for Saab's marketing and sales of Saab´s Naval and Air product lines in Western Europe.



The position will be based in Sweden, either in Stockholm, Gothenburg or Linköping, and will report to the Head of Western Europe in his function as Head of Regional Sales. The role includes frequent travelling including overnight stays in the region. In the role as Customer Sales Responsible (CSR), you will work together with the Country Managers in the countries and act as CSR within the Naval (primary) and Air domains to identify and pursue leads with end-customers but also with major partners for B2B business. You may also be tasked to work as CSR in other product lines in the region.



To be a successful Sales and Marketing Director, you should have strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. You should also possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing as well as the naval product portfolio of Saab.



Expectations:

* Identify and create marketing opportunities, understanding customer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.
* Responsible for marketing and sales of the Saab product portfolio applicable to the Naval and Air Domain.
* Execution of the Saab Winning Business (WB) process for set business prospects.
* Prepare domain strategies and market and capture plans.
* On occasions, together with the Country Managers manage, assess and develop Saab's local intermediaries and potential partners.
* Create, establish and develop good and strong partnership business models with potential/existing customers and partnering companies in the domain.
* Act as the face for Saab for all partners/customers and act as a role model, in order to strengthen the Saab brand and profile.
* Team oriented, acting as the face of Saab with all partners/customers and demonstrate high ethics and integrity.
* Extensive travel within Europe will be required.
* The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.



Your profile

* Relevant academic education and/or relevant work experience.
* Highly proficient in spoken and written English language. Swedish language is desired. Other languages spoken in Western Europe are also welcome.
* Strong business acumen.
* Excellent communication skills and outgoing personality.
* Experience of successful marketing and sales results, negotiations and documented leadership skills.
* Strong project management skills with a capability to drive projects from Business Development to contract
* Proven ability to build, develop and maintain good and strong internal, partner and customer relationships and market networks.
* Broad and good knowledge of Saab's Naval product portfolio is necessary and knowledge about Saab's broad portfolio is desirable as well as a good network within Saab.



The role requires an independent-minded person, able to identify and pursue business opportunities, but also willing to contribute as part of a wider team. You are committed to delivering high quality and meeting deadlines in an international environment where decisions are followed by prompt action.



You are able to meet high expectations and enjoy taking ownership and responsibility. Your analytical and communication skills enable you to keep focus on and to deal with complex projects and situations simultaneously. Frequent travels within Europe will be required.



What you will be part of

The Chief Marketing Officer's office (CMO) covers all global Saab AB marketing and sales activities. Region Western Europe (WE) covers the whole WE region (with the exception of UK and Germany). In this Region we have four established countries (Denmark, Norway, France and the Netherlands) with the main office in Stockholm. As Director Marketing and Sales you will be reporting to the Head of Regional Sales.



This position requires that you will be approved in a security vetting in accordance to ISO:27001.
