The Director M&A is a project leader, leading the project to acquire or divest a business entity and reports to the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Saab Ventures
What you will be part of
The M&A team is currently a team of three people based in Linköping and Stockholm with responsibility to coordinate and execute acquisitions and divestments transactions in all Saab Business Areas globally. M&A is part of the Corporate Finance Function.
From time to time, the work requires extensive travel both domestically and abroad and the work load can be extensive and challenging but also rewarding.
Your future challenge
You will coordinate and manage Saab transaction teams (including colleagues from Saab Business Areas, Corporate functions within Saab or external advisors). You will be working on projects relating to acquisitions or divestments of businesses, assets or shares. You will take an active role in the valuation of the business and lead the communication and negotiation with the counterparty, secure internal approvals (including material to the Board of Directors and presentations from time to time) and closing the transaction within provided mandate.
You will guarantee quality in the various steps of the process Due Diligence, Valuation, Negotiation etc as well as for the financial analysis of the implication to Saab from M&A transactions (accounting, financial, strategic implications) and the valuation of the transaction entity.
You will participate in the evaluation and selection process of M&A advisors and in networking activities in order to ensure that Saab has access to the most appropriate team necessary. You will also participate in continuous process development of the M&A Process.
Todays demands
You are today working with M&A or in a financial or commercial role or equivalent and have experience from coordinating and executing high profile projects with speed. You have negotiation skills and experience as well as experience from integrating and separating businesses. You are multilateral, strategic, analytical and tenacious. You know what drives shareholder value and you possess an interest in the financial capital market as well as having a business, technical and legal understanding. You have a degree in Business (MSc, MBA) or law or equivalent business experience and are fluent in the Swedish and English languages
