Forter is a fast-growing, enterprise startup that has already established itself as a leader in the online fraud prevention market with a client base consisting of the largest and most sophisticated retailers in the world.


To continue its rapid growth, Forter is looking for an experienced Director of Business Development - Channel, who has a track record of generating revenue through strategic partnerships. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following initiatives:
• Directly managing the Forter Partnership Program which extends the company's reach into digital agencies, system integrators, e-commerce platforms, and other relevant players in the e-commerce ecosystem in both EMEA and North America.
• To accomplish this, the candidate must be adept at sourcing new partners – through trade shows, existing industry connections, and other means – that has a high potential of accelerating Forter's distribution and revenue.
• In addition to signing new partners, the candidate will, in conjunction with the partner marketing manager, and Customer Success teams, ensure existing partnerships are optimized for growth and partner satisfaction.
• Because of the dynamic nature of our company and industry, the candidate will also be asked to assist the VP of Business Development as well as other Business Development team members in other partnership deals that are ongoing.


Attributes you'll need:
At least 5+ years of business development or other related experience with a track record of successfully creating partnerships and driving revenue.
• Excellent communication skills: you are a clear thinker, speaker, and writer; highly creative in messaging and visually presenting complex topics.
• Demonstrated relationship-building skills with external partners.
• Startup background – Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different functions including marketing, sales, and product.
• Ability to travel 20-40% of the time (once travel resumes post-pandemic)


Additional attributes that would be helpful:
• Experience in payments and/or e-commerce.
• Comfort with new technologies; ability to communicate with those who are tech-savvy.
• Experience working in a flexible team environment where you pitch in wherever needed.
• A "can-do" attitude that you bring to work every day.
