Director of Construction Design

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a dedicated Civil Engineer specialised in construction design of industrial buildings. You will perform on a project management level on one of Europe's biggest construction projects and team up with our bold and excellent construction team. The job can partly be performed in Stockholm with weekly travels to our Skellefteå site.

As Head of Construction Design you are ultimately responsible for the delivery and execution of our factory construction design. Taking a key position in directing and coordinating the design organisation and helping to realising the complex requirements of the factory.

In this function you aim to create an effective and coordinated interface between processes and construction. Furthermore, you support the program management to operate in a cost and time efficient manner. As head of our design team you will be even main point of contact for technical service during execution phase, to enable corporation between the site and design team.

You will be working closely with the construction manager and lead a team of design engineers covering a wide range of disciplines. The function reports to Head of Construction.

In general you have a long experience in Construction Design and have operated on site in large industrial building projects.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Delivery and execution of factory construction design
- Assuring that the design meet time and quality requirements
- Validation of design
- Ensure effective cooperation and coordination between design, program management and construction
- Support in technical advise

Education/Experience

- A degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree
- Senior in construction design
- Track record of successul managerial achievements
- Successful track record of working in complex industrial projects
- Have worked in multi-cultural environment
