About the job
In this position, you’re heading our Digital Application Services department – a function that develops and delivers IT solutions based on our overall IT strategy and closely linked to our business agenda. You ensure development of stable, secure and compliant applications in IT-related improvement projects, and you lead various application delivery teams in maintaining and supporting our application landscape. You also manage and coach your own team, with a mix of in-house resources and strategic development partners, to ensure capacity and balance the demand of our customers and users.


In such an ever-changing environment with new technologies emerging every day, you actively monitor advancements and trends, and you identify innovative and efficient solutions that brings a competitive advantage for us. This also means close collaboration with the internal IT community, as well as with suppliers and stakeholders – driving an agile IT development and delivery, and optimizing the use of modern technology. You aim for a truly global IT setting, and you build an organization where team spirit, progress and best practices are cornerstones. By connecting people, technology and processes you establish business-driven solutions that will further enhance our success.


You report to the Vice President and Head of IT & Business Change, and are part of the Global IT Management team. We offer flexible working conditions, but your base is preferably in Fagersta (SE), Pune (IND) or Troy (US). Some global travel is normally included in your job.


About you
We’re looking for a confident and coaching leader, with proven skills in people and performance management and the ability to successfully develop and deliver modern IT solutions. You have broad experiences and knowledge of the IT domain – including CRM/PLM/ERP systems, web services and the MS platform – and you’re very interested in emerging technologies. Your career includes similar roles in a global business setting, preferably in the manufacturing industry. You’re also used to managing stakeholders and driving large projects within IT or other functions. A degree in IT, Computer Science or another technology field is required, and as we’re represented worldwide, you have both cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in English.

You have a pragmatic, organized and self-driven approach, which makes it easy for you to prioritize, move forward and establish change.
