THE OPPORTUNITY

At Boozt we have a long history of pushing the boundaries of our organization. We are constantly looking into different business areas and to explore new opportunities.

We are creating a new development organization which will focus on a new business area within the Boozt Group. We are now looking for a Director of Engineering to join in this new area. The Director of Engineering will be a key contributor to the organization's strategy and planning process, championing creativity, innovation, scalability, and security. It is critical for the Director of Engineering to build strong and productive relationships with all business unit leaders, acting as a true business partner and making tech a business enabler.



WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead the work for developing the infrastructure within this new area. This includes technology choices and benchmarking potential new solutions to be included.
- Develop the team and team structure to make sure we continue to deliver great solutions with a good time to market.
- Making sure we are promoting the right people within the team to make sure they are challenged and rewarded accordingly.
- Assist in recruiting developers required to meet the demands of scale and stability.
- Ensure current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives.
- Defining KPIs to measure the success of the development team and the product itself.
- Focusing on building a sustainable development organisation.
- Continuing to follow technical trends and evaluate new technologies, processes, organisational setups etc and incorporating them into our organisation whenever they fit our criteria for success


YOUR PROFILE

- Previous documented work in building a scalable development team.
- Leadership focused around transparency, promoting technical discussions and inclusion
- Experience from high scaling systems with cutting edge stability
- Flexible mindset and can adjust to a quick changing environment.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field desirable.


To be successful in this role, you enjoy working closely with others in order to identify and use the relevant knowledge from their perspective areas into your solutions. You understand the value of code reviews and the fine balance between code quality and delivery expectations. At last, you enjoy working in an agile, dynamic and team based environment where you get the opportunity to take responsibility, have trust and freedom to do your work.
