Arbetsbeskrivning
Within Sandvik Group, we’re passionate about development and advanced technology, and we always aim to offer the best possible experience for our customers. Right now, we’re taking an exciting step in transforming our market-leading business even further within the area of stone crushers and screening equipment for the mining and construction industries. We do this by founding an independent, growth-oriented and customer-centric Business Area by the name of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions. A place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation - where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing.
For Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions, we’re looking for an experienced Director of Financial Control - a role that calls for an organized, analytical and networking financial partner with a strong ethical compass and a passion for financial control. We offer a unique opportunity to join us on this exciting transformation journey, where you truly get to impact our direction by enhancing our global financial governance and risk management. Are you eager to shape the future of manufacturing? Then we really want you on board!
Let’s talk about your mission
In this central position, you’re responsible for our global financial reporting processes and for ensuring compliance with the financial reporting framework of Sandvik Group. You train, support and direct our divisions, and you actively work to optimize our financial reporting – always ensuring global adherence with IFRS, transfer pricing and internal control guidelines. You’re an excellent communicator and advisor to our division finance directors and their teams working with periodic financial reporting and governance. Along with this, you have a broad financial expertise, and you’re able to coach and guide us, as well as explain complex financial matters in an understandable manner to enhance success in our business area.
Collaboration is key in this job - you’re an important sounding board, and report directly to the Vice President and CFO of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions. You also work closely together with business and financial controllers in our divisions, as well as the financial control community within Sandvik Group. By doing so, you take lead in global governance, drive relevant reporting implementations, and ensure an efficient management of continuous improvements. Another important item on your agenda is the responsibility for our global financial and risk management policies. On top of this, you’re a coaching and inspiring leader for the finance team, and by connecting people, processes and financial insights, you make sure we’re the best possible finance organization.
This position is based in the Svedala/Malmö area, although Stockholm or other locations could be discussed, and some international travel is normally included in your job.
And what about you?
We’re looking for someone with a finance degree, strong IFRS knowledge – preferably CPA - and a broad background in financial controlling within a global corporate environment. You have at least ten years’ experience from working in a larger finance setting, including managerial exposure, and you’re skilled in leading the way and managing stakeholders in international organizations. Previous experiences from big 4, and from working with M&A’s and related accounting procedures are highly valued, as is an understanding of the mining and construction industry or other heavy manufacturing operations. Furthermore, you need a strong set of IT skills, and since we act across both functions and borders, you must communicate fluently in English, while other language skills are advantageous.
By effectively balancing tactical and strategic levels, and having strong skills in creating attention and driving execution, you challenge, influence and guide us towards the future. Your leadership style is transparent, straight forward and empowering, and you establish a truly collaborative environment across all parts of our organization. Add a passion for improvements and development, and you’re the ideal match for this job!
