Identifying, incubating, and accelerating new business opportunities within Ericsson is the mission of Business Area Technologies and New Businesses (BTEB). We scale new and emerging businesses to accelerate Ericsson’s growth in the Telco, Wireless Enterprise and Global Network Platform areas.

BTEB has an exciting portfolio including e.g. global IoT platforms, network security, offerings for SMB offices, and applications for dynamic NW QoS enhancement. We also have an exciting pipeline of new business ideas that we are working to make scalable businesses in the future, e.g. an offering for drone mobility and a SW Development Kit for creating digital humans – with many more to come in the near future.

The BTEB Strategy, Portfolio & Market Introduction unit is setup to support acceleration of growth in BTEB and in Ericsson. It is tasked to develop the business area strategy, drive portfolio reviews and investment decisions and support growth for our new businesses by establishing and driving select marketing and market introduction support.
We are now looking for a Director of growth marketing and market introduction - Business Area Technologies and New Businesses. You will be responsible in establishing marketing and market introduction support for our new businesses, incl. e.g. early adopter programs, the marketing toolbox that will benefit our early stage businesses as they ramp-up their marketing capabilities and drive marketing campaign execution. You will also contribute in shaping the strategic messaging across our portfolio for use at conferences and in customer presentations.
You will engage as a thought-partner to the business leaders in BTEB that you support, will work with the other Business Areas and Market Areas on the topics of early adopter programs and go-to-market for our new businesses and work with the Group Marketing function to coordinate marketing activities. An important part of the role will be to coach and guide members (initially two, with plans to expand three to four team members) of the BTEB Strategy Portfolio & Market Introduction team working on marketing and market introduction.

Main responsibilities
Shape and establish early adopter programs
Contribute in shaping the paths into Ericsson’s go-to-markets for our new businesses
Lead the work on defining and creating the marketing toolbox and the practical and simple processes that will benefit our early stage businesses as they ramp-up their marketing capabilities
Contribute in shaping and maintaining strategic messaging across portfolio of incubation & innovation for external use at conferences and in customer presentations.
Engage as a thought-partner to the business leaders in BTEB that you support


To be successful, you have:
Proven ability to lead teams in marketing and business development projects, producing high-quality results with limited supervision/guidance
In-depth understanding of, and hands-on experience with, go-to-market motions, portfolio- and demand marketing, marketing campaigns, and new product introductions within the ICT space
Excellent communication skills with ability to synthesize and simplify to senior stakeholders in both written- and oral English
Proven ability to establish relationships with executives
Passion for technology and relevant Technology- and/or Telecom industry experience
Entrepreneurial & Commercial Thinking
Energy and drive to motivate others
A drive to work hands on in execution of marketing campaigns and in building the market introduction setup for BTEB
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent., MBA or equivalent desired
>10 years experience of marketing-, business development- and sales- roles, or equivalent, preferably in the telecommunications or wider ICT sector


You may also have:
Deep knowledge of the Telecom industry and ICT in general, including coming technologies such as 5G, IoT, Edge compute
Excellent business and analytical skills
