At Epidemic Sound we are reinventing the music industry. Our carefully curated catalog, with over 35,000 tracks, is tailored for storytellers, streaming services, and in-store soundtracks. Countless clients around the world, from broadcasters, production companies, DSPs, and YouTubers rely on our tracks to help them tell their stories. Epidemic Sound’s music is heard in hundreds of millions of online videos daily, across millions of playlist streams, and in thousands of in-store locations. Headquartered in Stockholm, we’re spread across offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Seoul, Hamburg, and Amsterdam. We’re growing fast, have lots of fun, and are taking the music industry with us.
We are now looking for a parental leave replacement for our Director of Growth Strategy & Operations who leads a team that coordinates strategic initiatives and initiatives across our Growth domain. Epidemic Sound is in an expansive phase of its journey and we’ve set ambitious growth targets for the following years where the Growth Strategy & Operations team are key contributors. We think the ideal candidate has vast experience from leading several complex initiatives in a fast moving environment as well as being an inspiring leader.
In this role, we hope that you're a strategist with hands-on experience to become an active contributor in helping evolving ideas and visions into growth initiatives, collaborating with teams within the Growth domain (with the objective to acquire and retain users) as well as possibly adjacent teams from other domains and or/departments.
Key responsibilities
- Coach a team of 5 that support, lead and coordinate strategic and cross-functional initiatives across the Growth domain
- Responsible for resource planning, coaching and professional development of team members
- Making sure all projects & initiatives are aligned with company wide priorities and plans
- Work with GSMT and Growth leads and interdepartmentally to overcome day-to-day issues
- Participate in Epidemic’s extended leadership forum, growth domain leadership team and other relevant leadership forums
- Create culture in knowledge sharing, experimentation and agile ways of working
- Leverage insights and data that support decisions
- Push boundaries and envision ideas that can meet Epidemic Sound’s objectives
Who are you?
- 5+ years of experience and proven track record of ability to influence and align stakeholders, facilitation and coaching skills
- You have multiple years of experience as a tested leader, with all its challenges
- Worked in an agile environment where things move quickly and take on challenges with a can-do attitude
- Strategic mindset & analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships across a matrixed organization
- Experience from SaaS, management consulting or similar
