About the job
As Director for Pricing and Profitability, you’re responsible for establishing a balanced, competitive and profitable pricing strategy for our product portfolio together with our Product Lines. You actively work with pricing management from a global perspective – meaning you lead our annual pricing revision process and continuously monitor our pricing development and make adjustments based on market shifts, currency or other movements. Together with finance, you also support the internal transfer pricing framework.
You work closely together with our five sales regions to support our key accounts with relevant pricing and business model solutions and on cross border agreements. In addition, you continuously evaluate and challenge our ways of working with regards to pricing - building new capabilities, investing in new systems and tools and developing the understanding of our pricing strategy within the organization. Strong collaboration is central in this position, and you keep all of your key stakeholders within Product Management, Sales and Finance in the loop.
You’re an inspiring and coaching leader, a role model for our organizational values and a key contributor to the wider Pricing and Profitability community within the business area of Sandvik Machining Solutions. The preferred location for this position is at our headquarters in Fagersta, where your team of five members are based. However, we’re open to discuss a flexible location for the right candidate.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a broad financial background and a strong track record from pricing. You may also be a commercially oriented business controller with experience from sales. However, it’s your business acumen and commercial mindset in combination with your strategic and analytical abilities that will make you successful in this role!
You know how to create a well-composed pricing strategy and successful pricing policies, as well as balancing profitability with competitiveness in the market. Being strong in stakeholder management, you are able to discuss options, look at things from different perspectives, influence the people around you and create strong networks. Your confidence help you stand your ground when needed, and you’re also brave enough to push boundaries.
Other requirements for this position include:
Being an open-minded and coaching leader with the will to develop both teams and individuals
Holding a relevant degree in Finance, Business Economics or similar
Experience from ERPs (at Seco, we’re using M3), pricing software, Excel and other analytical tools used in this area
Great written and verbal skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial
