Arbetsbeskrivning
The Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum) is a cross-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder knowledge platform at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE).
We are a cosmopolitan mix of ca 25 researchers from different departments and more than 10 countries, plus an exquisite management team, who work collaboratively to make SSE a world-class reference for sustainability in economics and to contribute to a sustainable development of markets in practice. Our mission is based on the trinity of research, education and engagement with stakeholders, whereas all of them are based on rigorous scientific knowledge production to understand the prerequisites of sustainable markets and develop pathways and measures for different actors how to get there.
We recently received a new generous funding from the Mistra Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research to accelerate research collaborations and translate our findings to the specific situations of stakeholders from business, politics, and civil society. Considering the so-called “knowledge-solution-gap” in adapting sustainability solutions in practice, our aim is to make distinct “science-based targets” and their implications more visible in the business community and important fora for decision-makers, and to intensify the dialogue about how they can be reached.
Do you want to help us to take off in this next phase? Do you want to contribute to sustainable development of markets based on interdisciplinary research results from Sweden’s leading business school? Misum needs a skilled and dedicated Director of Stakeholder Engagement.
This new position aims at developing dialogue and knowledge exchange between research and practice, in particular by developing collaborations, organizing events, networking and identifying appropriate and novel channels of communicating research work and research results.
The work will entail engaging with external stakeholders (corporate partners, alumni, business, ngos, and policy-makers) and international stakeholders (faculty and students). While a major task is engagement with our external stakeholders, this occurs in collaboration with our researchers. Accordingly, it will be your major responsibility to continuously engage with key stakeholders nationally and internationally and identify collaborations on research and research-based education with regard to sustainability challenges.
The Director of Stakeholder Engagement will be responsible for designing and implementing an engagement strategy in collaboration with the Misum Management Team. The job will also entail further development of Misum’s strategy for communication of activities and achievements, e. g. the use of social media and other forms of media and overseeing the execution of this. The Misum Director of Stakeholder Engagement will work on the administrative team of Misum, be part of Misum Management Team and refer to Misum Executive Director.
