ABOUT THE COMPANY

Pygargus is a leading Scandinavian consultancy company focused on providing high quality data for real world outcomes research. With the unique software Pygargus CXP, the Company can extract and analyze large amounts of longitudinal data from electronic medical records. By combining EMR data from Scandinavia with general-population based health registers, Pygargus can generate unique Real World Evidence. Our client base consists of the life science industry, academia, health authorities and health care providers.

Pygargus is currently expanding and is thus seeking new talents.

INTRODUCTION TO ROLE

The current position will take on a multifaceted development role in Pygargus.

The candidate should have a long experience from the area of epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics or biostatistics, with hands-on experience from scientific project work and project management. Furthermore, the candidate should have a solid comprehension of the global life science industry, health care sector, health authorities and academia.

Pygargus is a growing Company and thus the plan is that the current position may develop into a team leadership role with the Company. The role will be based in our offices in Stockholm City.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project leadership and analytical work:

- Initiate and present study proposals to clients in an attractive manner
- Manage projects throughout the whole project cycle including client interaction, steering committee coordination and management of third parties included in the project
- Hands-on analytical work in projects, including protocol development, statistical analysis plan, analysis and scientific reporting

Stakeholder management:

- Establish close collaboration with top research groups in the field of epidemiology, statistics and outcomes research in the European setting
- Establish close collaboration with authorities and health care providers in the life science sector

Organizational responsibility:

- Build up competence within epidemiology, outcomes research and health economics
- Engage in the strategic discussion on analytical focus areas of Pygargus for the coming years

Marketing:

- Proactively engage in client engagements and promote value of evidence generated from EMR and registers to multiple stakeholders including academia, authorities, health care providers and life science companies
- Promote Pygargus within the life science field by publishing scientific results, presenting at conferences and exhibits

ACADEMIC TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE

- Basic training in the field of epidemiology, health economics or outcomes research. PhD degree is a merit
- Experience from quantitative research in the area of epidemiology, health economics, outcomes research is a merit
- More than five years of work experience from real world evidence, and preferably from the life-science industry or consulting industry
