ABOUT THE ROLE

Our products are the core of what we do and earn us respect and long-term relationships with our customers. We are now looking for a talented and goal-oriented Director of Product. You will be integral in planning and packaging our product and you will lead a team consisting of Product Managers and potentially UI/UX designers. In this role, you will work closely with our customers, our growth team and engineering team to capture what we need to do next. The ideal candidate will have experience of taking a product to market and adoption at scale.

Ideally, you enjoy working with colleagues from all over the world in a fast-paced environment. At the same time, you are self-motivated and can carry out complex analysis independently.

As Director of Product you are expected to translate the company vision to product strategy while balancing needs for the short and long term. You need to be a people person with leadership experience. Further, you are passionate about business development.

You will serve as an internal and external evangelist for our product, communicating regularly with internal stakeholders, customers and users.

You will report to Power Factor’s Chief Product Officer.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

- Build and lead a team of product managers focused on building solutions for the asset management and field service optimization use cases in the renewables industry
- Drive work with product packaging and pricing
- Ensure product roadmap development is aligned with the company's business goals
- Conduct market research, surveys and customer/prospect visits to understand and specify requirements for target markets
- Analyze partnership opportunities and competitive offerings in our market
- Ensure product communication is accurate and informative
- Perform continuous discovery internally and with customers to fully understand their problems and business needs.
- Work with engineering teams, cloud ops engineers, and architecture to build the future technical platform to manage renewable energy assets.
- Work with your engineering team to find the solutions that make the biggest impact to solve customer problems.
- Define product outcomes that help us progress towards company OKRs.
- Own, collaborate, prioritize, and develop your product backlog and communicate with your team so they understand the why behind each item.
- Prioritize incoming product suggestions including user feature requests, feedback from Sales & Customer Success, and strategic projects.
- Communicate with the Customer Success team and Early Access users to get feedback and iterate on solutions.
- Monitor key metrics related to usage and user experience to improve the product.
- Communicate internally and externally about product status, news, and updates.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or equivalent
- 3+ years experience as an agile Product Manager for SaaS
- 5+ years experience in the technology domain as a Technical Product Manager, Developer, DevOps Engineer, QA Lead, or other technical leader role
- Proficient in product management processes like interviewing, impact mapping, story mapping, product kata, and setting outcomes
- Process-oriented and driven by process and workflow improvements
- Clear and effective communicator with technical and non-technical audiences
- Thrive in a cross-functional work setting
- Strategic mindset and strong pattern recognition capabilities
- Analytical with experience of working with software analytics data
- Outstanding ability to process and synthesize information
- Comfortable in meeting with customers
- Excellent self-starting skills and a positive attitude
- Able to say no to compelling arguments, but also explain why using product strategy and objective
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken); other languages are a plus
- Interest in renewable energy
