About the Role
The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual for a part-time position (50%) as Director Program and Stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Center for Retailing. This position combines academic leadership with strategic stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Development, Center for Retailing. Lead and strengthen collaborations with external stakeholders, such as companies and organizations. Build long-term relationships to support the goals and vision of CFR.
- Outreach Activities, Center for Retailing. Plan and execute activities to enhance CFR’s visibility and impact within the retail sector. Initiate and manage events, workshops, and industry dialogues.
- Program Director, BSc Retail Management: Oversee the strategic development of the bachelor’s program in Retail Management. Ensure the program maintains high quality and prepares students for a dynamic job market.
- Teaching, BSc Retail Management: You will contribute as a teacher, sharing your expertise and inspiring the next generation of retail professionals.
Your profile
You combine strategic thinking with operational excellence. You have a networking mindset and a natural ability to build and nurture relationships. You demonstrate pedagogical expertise and a strong commitment to student learning.
We value curiosity and innovation, particularly in the development of pedagogy. An openness to exploring new teaching methods and integrating emerging technologies is desirable.
Requirements:
- A PhD in relevant field
- Strong experience in working with companies in higher education and research (various formats)
- Strong experience in teaching and developing courses for higher education
Meritorious:
- Knowledge about/experience from using AI in education
- Strong administrative skills and familiarity with academic environments.
Other
This is a part-time position (50%), starting at the earliest in January 2025 (or as agreed), that offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of education, research, and organization. The position will initially be offered for a 3-year term, with the possibility of extension.
